“Prof. D-r Asen Zlatarov” University is the only state university in the Southeast Bulgaria established following the Council of Ministers’ decree No 162 in 1963. In 1995, according to the decision of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, it was established as “Prof. D-r Asen Zlatarov” University.
The university curriculum is implemented in 5 faculties: the Technical Science Faculty, the Natural Science Faculty, the Public Science Faculty, the Public Health and Healthcare Faculty, the medical Faculty. Three colleges: the Technical College, the Medical College and the College on Tourism and two departments: the Department for Language Education and the Department for Qualification and Professional development of Pedagogical Specialists are an integral part of the university. Academic education of high quality is offered for 18 professional fields in 45 accredited bachelor and over 30 masters programs.
The implementation of the “Cross-border Regions Collaborate for BLUE GROWTH” project joins efforts of university teachers and specialists of the “Ecology and Environmental Protection” Department of the Natural Science Faculty as well as the departments “Technology, Materials and Material Knowledge” and “Chemical Technologies” of the Technical Science Faculty.
Trakya University of Edirne is the biggest university of the Trakya region in Turkey, established in July 1982. The university comprises 12 faculties on medicine, engineering, architecture, economics and administration, education, fine arts, health, social science, Balkan studies, Roma language and culture; 6 colleges; 1 state conservatory, 9 professional colleges and 2 kindergartens.
The university is a modern training environment for over 50 000 students. The academic community unites over 1900 high qualified university teachers and researchers.
The Professional School of Chemical Technologies “Acad. N. D. Zelinskij” in Burgas is established in 1960 formerly being a professional school on industrial chemistry. Founded with 4 classes for training of professionals for the petrol industry, nowadays the school ensures education for students in 23 classes in 5 professional fields:
- Technology of pharmaceutical products, perfumery and cosmetics
- Ecology and environmental protection
- Informatics
- E-commerce
- System design
A team of high qualified teachers ensures the educational process of high quality and opportunities for vocational training. Various extracurricular initiatives and participation in different projects funded by Erasmus + and the “Science and Education for Smart Growth” operational program are a sustainable part of the overall educational strategy of the school.
The High School of Edirne is among the oldest schools in the Republic of Turkey, funded back in 1857. The curriculum includes a variety of disciplines like: Literature, English language, German language, Math, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Religious education, Sports, Arts, Music and ITC. Different opportunities for participation in extracurricular clubs and additional trainings add value to the quality of the educational process. The school team includes 43 teachers and offers education for over 500 students.
