„PROF. D-R ASEN ZLATAROV UNIVERSITY“ OF BURGAS ORGANIZED “CHALLENGES, OPPORTUNITIES AND INNOVATIVE APPROACHES FOR HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT IN CROSS-BORDER REGIONS”
The conference is the key event under the CB005.3.12.001 “Cross-border Regions Collaborate for BLUE GROWTH” project co-funded by the Interreg IPA CBC Bulgaria – Turkey 2014 – 2020 programme.
The event was held on 22nd and 23rd of March at “Flora” Expo Centre in Burgas gathering over 100 representatives of leading scientific institutions and universities from Bulgaria, Türkiye and Croatia. The scientific reports and achievements were presented in 4 sections dedicated to natural ecosystems pollution, integrated management and protection of ecosystems, innovative technologies cross-border cooperation for environment protection.
“The project has been implemented for two years already with exclusive success with the partnership of the Trakya University of Edirne. The reports at that international conference will trace the road to development in the field of blue growth and ecology. Today is the World Water Day filled with a lot of positive energy. Welcome to Burgas!”, were the welcoming wards of Prof. Magdalena Mitkova, PhD – the Rector of “Prof. D-r Asen Zlatarov” University.
Mission board members of the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”, the Economic and Social Council of the Republic of Bulgaria and the “Territorial Cooperation Management” Directorate at the Ministry of Regional Development and Works were among the participants and the lecturers at the conference.
